While no UK-based airline is prepared – so far – to stand up to the anti-research activists, Air France has said it will continue to resist the blockade.
The airline told The Times today that it “had no intention of bowing to pressure from the activists. In a statement the company referred to a European directive from September 2010, which says: The use of live animals remains necessary to protect human and animal health and the environment.”
Bravo to Air France. And shame on British carriers that continue to pander to a minority of extremists.
